A truly beautiful rustic wedding for the loveliest of couples. Serena and Marty, both dressed by WFML, tied the knot recently at The Old Barn & Vineyard in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their friends and family. Read below to hear from Selena how they prepared for their big day, and what advice she would pass on to brides-to-be!
The whole day was perfect. I was amazed at how smoothly things went and how calm I was, considering everything was organised from a distance and I hadn’t met the vendors or seen the venue! (other than photos online of course). We didn’t really have an obvious theme. With the venue being an old barn we kind of went with a bit of a rustic look (burlap with a touch of lace, creams and light pastel flowers).
The dress was amazing, and exactly what I wanted. I had a picture of it in my head before I started looking but couldn’t find it anywhere. Vanessa and the team were so helpful and knew exactly how to bring my dream to life! Marty knew what he wanted colour wise for his suit but he wasn’t really sure of anything else. After such a positive experience with my dress I insisted Marty meet with Vanessa. She was amazing and helped with all the little details. He was super impressed and happy with the end result. When Freddie Met Lily was actually the first and only place I visited. I had done hours of searching online and loved Vanessa’s designs. When I saw she could customise I booked in for a consultation and was sold after the first visit. She made my dream dress a reality and made the whole process so easy! My gown was perfect, everything I wanted and more. I felt so comfortable and beautiful.
The girls from WFML were extremely helpful in the lead up to our wedding. All my enquires were answered promptly and nothing seemed like it was too much trouble. To all brides to be, don’t compromise on what you want, you can have it! Oh, and think about comfort. I couldn’t recommend When Freddie Met Lily any higher. Vanessa was so accommodating and eager to make my dream dress -and hubby’s ideal suit- a reality. I loved everything about the service, from start to finish.
