Gorgeous Meg and her now husband Jason actually met at work one day when completing a presentation and well, now? The rest is history!
The two incredibly lovely employees from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital were engaged on a very romantic evening at their home. How special! Fast forward to 25th of October, 2020 and the couple are now husband and wife!
When planning the big day, the couple didn't deliberately pick a theme but rather took the approach of simply choosing what they loved! Jason took the reigns on booking all of the things from the venue, to the transport, reception and choosing his suit. Meg chose her stunning dress (and we are honoured it came from us at When Freddie Met Lilly!), cake and the floral arrangements. The wedding came together beautifully and ended up having a vintage country vibe which couldn't have been more perfect for the newlyweds!
Covid has obviously thrown a huge spanner in the works for many couples attempting to plan their weddings. When asked about how it affected their big day, Meg simply replied with "don't wait because of Covid - life's too short. Don't spend too much money. Pick what you love but don't stress out thinking about too many options." We love the simplicity of this mindset and how it brings you back to the main intention of the day - to be with your loved ones and marry the man of your dreams! Which is exactly what Meg and Jason did.
The day had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and was filled with lots of laughs! The weather was perfection, jacarandas in full bloom! We were very honoured to be Meg's choice of dressmaker - we had a ball designing this stunning gown! The choice of a mocha coloured lace gown, with capped sleeves and a simple silhouette looked spectacular on Meg.
Once the big day had come to a beautiful end, with a reception at their favourite local restaurant and first dance to "Bless the Broken Road", the couple honeymooned at Maleny in a beautiful country cabin! Just spectacular.
