Absolutely gorgeous Hannah married her love, Lachy, in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. Although Covid protocols threw some unexpected protocols into the mix, making the couple downscale their wedding from 250 guests to just 40 for the reception, Hannah exclaims at how magical the day was!
Many can only imagine the turmoil that happens behind the scenes when attempting to plan a wedding during these current times, however Hannah and Lachy kept their minds settled on what they really wanted - to be married! Their ceremony was just beautiful, held outdoors on a spectacularly cloudy day in NSW. Even though from QLD, Hannah and Lachy were able to have all their immediate family there which was so special.
When determining what Hannah would wear for her big day, she had a bit of an idea of what she was after but after trying those designs on, decided to take a slightly different route. We were so honoured, here at When Freddie Met Lilly, to help make her custom creation come to life! After trying on 35-40 dresses during the shopping process, Hannah was SO excited to be able to work with us on creating a gown she actually wanted and felt like the best version of herself in. Hannah's incredible gown featured a more fitted style as the primary shape, with a stunning tulle overskirt and mocha undertones and it couldn't have been more perfect for her. The bridesmaids all wore a different style dress in similar rust tones which was perfect for pulling in the colour scheme of the floral arrangements and Hannah's mocha-based dress!
Lachy went for a classic and handsome choice for his wedding attire - a black tie dinner suit! And didn't he look amazing!
We asked Hannah how she found dress shopping at When Freddie Met Lilly, especially after visiting so many other stores, and her feedback was just so kind!
"I spent ages there on my first visit trying on lots of different styles, then I went back again when I had a pretty clear picture of what I wanted and Vanessa was amazing in helping me tweak a couple of existing gowns to come up with my very own custom style that I loved. They were always happy to give me lots of time. They were also very accommodating with the process of having the dress made and having my fittings on a date that suited me as I live a long way from Brisbane and do not travel there very often. I just loved my dress - it was so much fun to wear and hit the dance floor in!! was perfect for what i wanted in the end so thank you very, very much."
Hannah's advice for brides choosing a gown that makes their day complete? Try on lots of different styles and colour, don't be scared to take your favourite bits from all the different gowns and combine them to make your own perfect dress!
