WFML REAL BRIDE: EMILY & JOE - BESPOKE WEDDING GOWN

Posted by on

For the stunning Emily, her special day was a sentiment of authenticity with her DIY wedding style encapsulating the very entity of the bride and groom. The vintage touches and quirky finds allowed for a personal touch in the surroundings of gum trees, as the couple’s visualisation of a laid-back marque wedding came to life. Set in an intimate private venue, there wasn’t a single beat missed in creating this fairy-tale day. Despite the days leading up to the wedding being full on, the wedding coordinator alongside the army of loved ones allowed for the day to run smoothly.

The bespoke whimsical styled WFML Nikita gown tied perfectly in with the vintage themes of the day, correlating Emily’s desires. Determined to find a dress that supplied elegance and comfort in one, Emily was delighted that her bespoke gown made dancing all day long a dream as she stated, “the dress was so comfortable I could have slept in it!” Notably, Vanessa made adjustments to detail which enhanced the gown and framed Emily’s gorgeous petite frame, which aligned with the vision she had for her dress. “One of my favourite things about WFML is that my dress was made to measure and that Ness was happy to change any detail (or create something from scratch) so I knew my dress would be exactly as I wanted it and a perfect fit.” On Emily’s journey to find her dream dress, When Freddy Met Lilly was her very first stop. Instantly taking her breath away was the Nikita gown which showcased the elements Emily envisioned, whimsical yet beautified simplicity. Being the only second gown she had tried on Emily continued to compare a few alternative designs at other boutiques, to which she discovered that the Nikita gown couldn’t be topped. Taking to inspiration with the light and vintage elements of the wedding, Joe chose a blue linen jacket, sand chinos and brown leather accessories for his outfit. Ultimately, the bride and groom opted to leave their outfits as a surprise on the day which allowed for a beautiful reveal, finding that their styles complemented each other seamlessly.

When we asked Emily about her experience with us at WFML and her response was so lovely: “I cannot speak highly enough of Vanessa and the other WFML girls. I was on a short timeframe and the girls stopped at nothing to make sure I had the dress of my dreams with no compromises. The experience was completely stress free and each visit to the boutique was a dream. Vanessa was so attentive and personable. Each visit felt like catching up with an old friend. Ness really did go above and beyond through the whole journey.” – It was our pleasure to join you on this special journey. Emily’s advice for future brides was “firstly, to keep an open mind - what originally picture in your head may not be what feels right when you try on dresses. I originally had different styles in mind but I just didn't feel like a ‘bride’ when I put them on. Secondly, choose a gown that flatters your shape so you will love looking back on photos. Finally, choose something comfortable so you can focus on enjoying your day - because as they say, it's over in the blink of an eye!” Congratulations Emily & Joe!
