WMFL Formal Girl: Olivia
Olivia not only had the best words to say about her gown, but also about the night of her Formal! Read about it here.
So please tell us – with months of planning, did the formal run smoothly!?
The formal ran smoothly on the night and went well.
How did The Dress fit into your theme? Did you have an idea of which style you wanted before beginning the search for your Formal Gown? And did this change much after you saw the girls at WFML?
I didn’t have a “theme” per say, but I did know going in that I wanted something which wasn’t the colours black, white, navy or red (as they were popular). I was hoping to get something with sleeves as I had heard from girls in previous years how cold it was on the night. I had looked on the website and seen other green and velvet dresses which I had liked. I don’t think what I was looking for changed much after looking at WFML.
How many dresses did you try on before you knew it was the one? 5? 10? 15?
From memory I tried on roughly 5 dresses until I knew which dress I wanted the most.
How did your gown make you feel on your very Special Day?
I felt so confident in the gown. It fit perfectly and was so elegant. I was happy that I was able to wear a bra underneath it and felt so comfortable.
Were the girls from When Freddie met Lilly helpful in what can be quite a busy and time consuming process when find The Dress?
The girls at WFML were so understanding in regards to the costs of the gown (and shoes).
Any tips for our future Formal girls choosing a gown that makes the day complete?
Make sure you choose one that you’re 100% happy with. It doesn’t matter whether or not its the same colour/style as someone else (doesn’t even matter if you’re wearing the exact same thing!). As long as you’re happy, confident and comfortable in it that’s all that matters. You can always vary it with accessories, makeup, hair and shoes. You work it for you.
Thanks again so much for assisting in my formal,
