WFML Real Bride: Bec
Bec planned her Big Day a little differently – she met her fiance for a first look before visiting the Grandparents and onto the ceremony! Take a look at her very happy snaps and read about her day below.
So please tell us – with months (or even years!) of planning, did the Big Day run smoothly!?
Our wedding day ran smoothly, not how I imagined it would be but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Was your wedding themed? Did you and your hubby go for a traditional feel or more contemporary style?
I wouldn’t say we had a theme. If anything it was more of a contemporary feel. Our focus was making sure that our wedding was unique to us, simple and elegant. The most important thing to us was ensuring we created a great atmosphere and a focus on making sure our guests were well fed and had a great night.
How did The Dress fit into your theme? Did you have an idea of which style you wanted before beginning the search for your Bridal Gown? And did this change much after you saw the girls at WFML?
I had ideas of what I liked and what I thought I wanted in a wedding dress. The WFML girls opened me up to so many different options that I never considered would look good on me. The gown I chose in the ended was perfect and couldn’t have suited my personality better.
Did your man choose his Suit? Or with some guidance did you help him? Did his suit compliment your gown? (or was it the other way around hehe).
Ben knew what he liked and I knew what I liked, and we eventually came to a mutual agreement.
How many dresses did you try on before you knew it was the one? 5? 10? 15+?
Maybe about a 10. I had been to 1 dress shop in the morning and then to WFML in the afternoon and found my dress by the end of the day.
How did your gown make you feel on your very Special Day?
It made me feel beautiful, sexy and I feel like it captured by style perfectly.
Were the girls from When Freddie met Lilly helpful in what can be quite a busy and time consuming process when find The Dress?
They were amazing. I picked out a couple of dresses I liked, and most of the dresses I tried on were recommended by Stephanie.
Any tips for our future Brides choosing a gown that makes the day complete?
Do your research and know what you like, but be open to the consultants recommendation. They might be able to suggest something to suit you that you would never have considered.
