Our gown will be made to order, especially for you - in your size measurements.
We will be in touch with you within days of you placing your order to discuss measurements and size preference. In the drop down menu please select the size that is your general sizing. You can order your gown in a particular size - please refer to the size chart.
Or you can order in your size measurements. If you do not have your measurements done by a dressmaker on hand, that’s not a problem. Please get these done and send it through at your earliest convenience.Our direct email address is email@example.com
Each style dress has specific measurements we need, some more than others, depending on how fitted it is. There is a high degree of stretch in our linings and Laces, so the fit contours to your body beautifully. If you are changing size - we recommend you order a size up or your actual measurements - all of our gowns can be taken in as we designed these with side seams.

Please note that the hemline is not included, we have an in-house dress maker that we highly recommend or we can recommend others in your area if you are not based in Brisbane.
How long does it take for my dress to be made?
Generally our gowns take between 4 weeks to 20 weeks to be made.We require a minimum of 4 weeks to create the gown (depending on the amount of hand embellishments).Of course, we are more than happy to create orders urgently if required. Please contact email@example.com.
Can I express order a dress?
Orders under 4 weeks can be ordered express, with a 20% surcharge for a rush order fee.
Can I alter the design of my dress?
We want your gown to be perfect for you! We offered customization to all our gowns. If you see yourself in a particular bodice or would like to change the skirt or add sleeves or take sleeves away or add lace etc - please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What if my size measurements change?
We offer a fitting service here in the studios two days a week, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for your first fitting appointment once the gown is completed. Our professional seamstress will be able to alter the dress for you. If you have gained or loss weight the cost incurred will be at your cost. This is at a very reasonable rate - so don't stress!
We offer both domestic and international delivery.
The cost of delivery to a postal address in Australia is a flat rate of $25 (for one item), for more than one a postal quote can be sourced. Also if you would prefer the item to be sent in a box - this is $35.
The cost of delivery to other countries starts at $45, this depends on the size and weight of the dress or suit. The postal price will be sourced and communicated to you.
Delivery times differ from region to region.
Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery within Australia (can often be overnight too as we send via Express Post - completely trackable). For international deliveries please allow up to 14-21 working days (can often be within 7 working days).
Should you not be happy with your dress or suit, you have 14 days to return the product to us. The balance will be returned to you within 14 days.
- If an item is custom made for you, no return is accepted.- We also do not accept any returns that have obvious markings or traces of wear.
Payment can be made through several payment methods:
PayPal payment or using your Visa or Mastercard credit card.
Credit card payment using your Visa or Mastercard credit card.
We also accept these two cards over the phone.You may want to pay by direct deposit. This is possibly by contacting email@example.com. The goods will be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared. Shopping for 'the' dress couldn't have been easier.
Instead of running from shop to shop and stressing out, Mum kicked back with a glass of bubbles, while daughter deliberated over several beautiful gowns. In no time at all the choice was made and both Mum and daughter couldn't have been happier.

Then I found found When Freddie Met Lilly. Right from the start Vanessa was so friendly, genuine and easy to talk with that she gave me faith in the whole experience again. Together we customized one of her beautiful designs adding small touches and the end result was something I absolutely loved and felt so "me" in.
I felt so lucky to wear a dress that was so beautiful and I felt I had a part in creating. Vanessa was always honest, supportive and full of ideas and advice if you wanted her help but was never pushy or judgmental and each time I returned for a fitting it felt more like catching up with a friend than trying on a dress.
I am so grateful I found Vanessa and her amazing dresses and can't thank her enough for being so real, genuine and passionate about what she does in such a crazy industry.

The ladies from WFML were nothing short of amazing! From the first initial meeting, to the various fittings, they made the whole process a bunch of fun. They are just so talented in what they do, and I just felt so at ease all the time. I became so trusting of their expertise – particularly when they said there was “just one more dress” they wanted to sneak into my pile to try – as it ended up being the one! I am forever thankful for the whole experience, from deciding on the dress, to picking the exact lace and detailing, it made the dress all the more special on the day! ……. An experience at When Freddie Met Lilly with the lovely Vanessa Hoe.
From the moment you walk down the stairs into Vanessa’s studio you are greeted and treated like you are the only person in need of her expert assistance. Vanessa’s bubbly personality and professionalism makes this experience that much more memorable. In this case, it was for a formal my daughter was attending – the designs were unique and exquisite and the choice was so difficult that we ended up buying two beautiful gowns – one for the formal she was attending that year (2014) and the other for her own formal in 2015.
Since then, we have attended various launches and events and have never been disappointed with what When Freddie Met Lilly has to offer. Can highly recommend them for all your formal and bridal needs including their accessories.
