Our Adventure in New York! – Part 1
In Mid-September we found ourselves in the heart of New York City, living the fashion dream. It was a short 10-day “business only” trip, which allowed very little down time in our incredibly busy schedule. When Freddie met Lilly is very proud to have represented our many designs at one of the world’s biggest runaways. Let’s just say we were a little nervous !!
Fashion-Palette New York Fashion Week is a well known stage; that allows the very best Australian designers to present their unique designs. We were very excited, after all our hard work to show our Hepburn – Esque Collection.
Whilst it wasn’t a holiday, we managed to see many of New York’s iconic site’s… and at the same time, use them to show case our beautiful dresses. Did I mention Vanessa is also a photographer in her spare time…
The first destination to tick off the list was Grand Central Station. Our Beautiful model Molly Harris, is wearing the Belle Gown which is one of our beautiful bridal pieces. It’s a soft delicate mesh gown with hand cut lace placed lovingly over the bodice, skirt and train. The Cathedral length train, and buttons run along the back of the bodice.
As we wandered out the front of Grand Central Station, Molly is dressed in the Sabene Raw Silk Gown featured with a multi-tying bodice in off-white. In a busy city she had the attention of many passerby’s…
The marble provided a perfect background for this timeless piece with a hint of modern chic; this is the perfect gown for a special occasion. The Cary Gown with stunning charcoal lace with trickles of beadwork from head to toe with beautiful detail in the keyhole design which features lace edging.
The spectacular Roman Holiday Gown with its soft and floaty silk design followed the wins as it funneled through busy streets of New York. A comfortable, chic, yet effortless evening gown has a featured side split and plaited straps that can be styled multiple ways.
