So please tell us – with months of planning, did the formal run smoothly!?
My formal day went very smoothly. Perfect weather on the day (not too hot and no afternoon storms).  I started at lunchtime with hair and make up and I was fully dressed and ready by 3pm.

I was lucky enough to have pre-formal photos with my school friends at a gorgeous house which  was the perfect backdrop.

So please tell us – with months (or even years!) of planning, did the Big Day run smoothly!?
It was 9 months between engagement and the wedding day.  It all went very smoothly.  We went for a pretty simple ceremony and reception and I think that meant less could go wrong!

Was your wedding themed? Did you and your hubby go for a traditional feel or more contemporary style?
There wasn’t a “theme”, but we went with whites and greens with a hint of gold to set-off the industrial feel of the Brisbane Powerhouse. Simple, yet romantic and timeless.

How did The Dress fit into your theme? Did you have an idea of which style you wanted before beginning the search for your Bridal Gown? And did this change much after you saw the girls at WFML?
I went into dress fittings with an open mind!  From attending friends’ dress fittings I knew that something that looked amazing in the picture and on someone else doesn’t mean it was made for you.  I tried on  poofy, simple, blingy and everything in between.  The WFML girls let me try on whatever I wanted which made it easier to set aside those that did and didn’t work.  I went for simple elegance with a V-neck and open back lace gown.  I added a little bling on the shoulders, as I wanted that extra special little touch.  It went perfectly with the overall look and feel of our day.
