WFML Real Bride: Tammy & Corey

Planning a wedding in a pandemic

Throughout the past year, many of brides and grooms have had to not only deal with the stress of planning a wedding, but also with the added pressure of following Covid requirement and guest restrictions. For our beautiful bride Tammy and her husband Corey, felt they were very lucky that they had held their plans and were easily able to put the Covid requirements into play. The couple were not even tempted to postpone their wedding to another year, “2020 was always going to be our year, it was just a matter of what it would look like” Tammy explained. The bride mentioned that it was touch and go at time, although luckily enough, restrictions were eased just in time ensuring there was no change to their overall vision for their special day. Despite the uncertainty leading up to the day, the wedding and reception went off without any issues, thanks to careful planning from friends and family.

The Dress

Tammy had a clear vision for her wedding gown, as she wanted to take inspiration from her Nanna’s dress from the 1940’s. Just after trying on three dresses, Tammy found the Veronica gown, in which she loved how the fabric felt and how it fell perfectly in the right ways. From this gown, her and Vanessa worked on redesigning the bodice, and decided to add more train. “Vanessa was wonderful, she made me feel very comfortable, listened and also offered advice,” Tammy explains “The dress that came together was just stunning”.  As for her husband Corey, he knew exactly what he wanted to wear, and all the boys looked very smart, yet comfortable. It was extremely important to the couple that they both felt comfortable and confident in what they wore. Additionally, when we asked Tammy how she felt on her special day, she said she felt “elegant and feminine”.

The Experience

The team at When Freddie met Lilly are extremely proud and grateful to have been able to help Tammy and Corey enjoy this exciting time of their lives. The couple suggests to future brides and grooms “to just relax and enjoy the experience without putting too much pressure on yourself- it will all come together exactly how you want”. After Tammy’s couple of visits to our studio she clarified, “The WFML team are professional and instilled in me the confidence that the most significant clothing purchase of my life was in very safe hands”. Again, we are extremely grateful to be able to assist this couple having the most perfect day and wish them all the best with their beautiful married life together.
