WFML Real Bride: Sarah

Posted by on

Sarah and Sam’s big day ran as perfectly as it could. While there were inevitably a few hiccups, Sarah says it was much less stressful than she anticipated and was truly magical.

The lead-up to the wedding however was a different story. None of their invited guests from overseas or interstate were able to attend due to COVID lockdowns and restrictions. The thought of postponing was playing on their minds until Sarah’s dad told them not to postpone as, “life is always uncertain”.

Although only two thirds of the invited guests were able to attend, we managed to pull off something very close to our vision. Even our guests watching the reception and ceremony virtually had a great time. We even had fun with masks for our guests and wedding party with them matching our dress and suits.

At the beginning of Sarah's bridal experience she wasn’t really sure what she wanted. It took me weeks of Googling to figure out what I did and didn’t like, but had no luck. I knew about When Freddie Met Lilly through our vendors and that's when I stumbled across the Eastwood gown. I loved it straight away!

When I went for my consultation, Laura helped me try on a few different styles, always coming back to the Eastwood for inspiration. I never would’ve ended up with the right dress if left to my own devices! Laura is honestly an angel. I was really anxious and uncomfortable about the whole dress experience. She made me feel so relaxed and at ease. A true natural with people.

When asked how her gorgeous dress made her feel on her day all she had to say was, It sounds a bit cliche, but you feel like a princess. I received compliments and so many questions about the design, especially the little details making me feel absolutely beautiful on the day.

After Sarah’s dress had been chosen the suit was the next step. In Sarah’s words, we looked longer for a suit than we did for my dress! It was a struggle to find the right colour and fit but decided to take a look at WFML and found the best option, especially after seeing the customisation and tweaking options. It was perfect.

Sarah and Sam’s day wasn’t complete without all their friends and family physically being able to attend. But, nonetheless it was magical. Sarah’s advice to other brides is to choose what makes you comfortable. The day is so fast and so unique, that you want to wear something you love and feel lovely in, but also that you can get through a solid 12 hours in! She also added that you should meet all your vendors. If you can imagine yourself sitting down with them and having a BBQ stick with them. Anything less than that, move on. Like most things in life, its all about the people.

We are so thrilled to have had the opportunity to help Sarah find her beautiful gown and make their day just that little bit more magical. From the whole team, we are so happy for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness.
