With a dream of holding a small, lowkey wedding, Lina and her now husband Cory planned the most perfect wedding with just 30 guests. Knowing that the possibility of interstate and overseas guests being able to attend was very low, the couple made this brilliant choice to eliminate the concerns of lockdowns and restrictions. With thanks to the Tras-Tasman bubble, a few loved ones were able to make it to the Queensland wedding from New Zealand and although a few from Europe could not make the trip, the day was just incredible. Held at Yandina Station, Lina mentioned that their vendors were so helpful and and easy to work with which is always wonderful to hear.
When in the midst of wedding planning, Lina had a specific style of wedding dress in mind - something with a high neck that moved into a flowy, loose skirt. However, after trying on many of our gowns at WFML, Lina fell in love with a slightly tighter gown that flattered, made her feel comfortable and looked unique. Lina usually wears darker colours and never really dresses so found it refreshing to find a gown that was feminine and blush in colour. When reflecting on wearing this dress during her big day, Lina said she felt beautiful and elegant, while still feeling so comfortable physically and mentally while wearing it. Her partner decided to wear a handsome burgundy jacket that perfectly complimented the blush wedding gown. With the addition of a Peggy and Finn tie, it was the perfect outfit.
We asked Lina to share her experience with us at When Freddie Met Lilly and this is what she had to say: "It was a very full-on day, we drove down the coast rushing around and then back to Brisbane, with our last stop at WFML. I am not a shopper, I don't like trying on clothes. But WFML was such a relaxing, fun and efficient experience!! Vanessa was so helpful, all the dresses were beautiful. And Coco was the perfect assistant. It was by far my favourite experience. Amazing! I honestly can't thank Vanessa and the team enough! Dress shopping can be very daunting for me, but the whole experience was so fun and easy!" Alongside this, Lina provided this very insightful tip for future brides: "Try-on options! And be open-minded to all styles. I had all these "requirements" for my dress and they all completely went out the window when I tried on my WFML dress."
