WFML Real Bride: Jordan

Posted by on

Jordan and Dylan looked absolutely perfect on their amazing day. The couple were married with a mountainous sunset backdrop and tied the knot surrounded by friends and family and their darling niece Pippa!

Despite some added worry, COVID didn’t affect the wedding in any significant way. There were a few guests that couldn’t come at the last moment but the day was perfect nonetheless.

It was so special for the two of them, as they had originally tried to get married four months after they got engaged however they soon realised it would be almost IMPOSSIBLE in such a short amount of time! As they had already started planning, they just continued to plan and get married in a more comfortable timeline.

When the day arrived, it was so magical. It was the absolute best and one of the happiest days of their lives!

As for my gown. I think I almost had too much of an idea regarding the style I wanted, which made trying gowns on a little stressful. I tried on more than 80 dresses. I really struggled to find something that felt like me. I knew I wanted colour in some respect, I just didn’t know how.

That all changed when I arrived at WFML and realised how much I was able to customise the gown. I kept feeling everything was ‘almost’ right, but not quite there. The flexibility and imagination of the team at WFML allowed me to find something that was totally and completely me.

Vanessa and the team were so kind, patient, honest and helpful. I felt that I was in very safe and competent hands and they were helping me to make the right decisions. They were so accommodating when I lived in Sydney and found it difficult to come up for fittings. Once I found the gown, everything else just fell into place. On the wedding day I felt truly comfortable, confident and not worried about anything. I knew I looked perfect from every angle and that it was a true representation of me. Plus, my 10 month old niece had a tiny version of my gown which just made it even more special.

Dylan chose his suit on his own, though we had discussed colour and style. I was happy with all his choices so I didn’t need to provide any feedback or guidance. The darker blue of his suit perfectly complimented the lightness of my gown.

Jordan’s advice to other brides: don’t be afraid to try on 80+ gowns. If you don’t think you’ve found one that you feel comfortable and happy in, KEEP TRYING ON GOWNS! Try all styles, colours and fabrics and don’t be afraid to customise.

The couple looked absolutely divine together and we felt so lucky to be a part of their day, especially meeting their lovely niece and creating her own gown too! We wish the couple all the happiness in the world and cannot wait to see what the future brings.
